Flow-Motion Baby!

My good pal Ben Lister has been working on a short music video for the past few years now… It’s taken him so long as he spent forever doing experiments, getting me to help out on a few of them along the way. He has a special technique shooting long exposure stills on an SLR, getting the subject to move while the lens is open to create a greater sense of movement and blur, then compositing all the images together in an editing program to create an animated piece. The finished effect is really unique and with the right content can be really beautiful. 







The years of testing finally paid off and last year brought Ben to shooting and completing a pretty awesome music video, for the track ‘Florida’ by Diplo.
