Mighty Mighty
After such a good night on the Tug Boat, I decided to take the advice of So So Modern drummer Daniel, who recommended I visit the Mighty Mighty establishment!
A quirky retro styled bar that immediately feels like home!
There were a few good bands playing…
Including the bluesy surf band Sons of Midas, if you can make out below on the poorly exposed iPhone pic…
And then another band called Japanese Motors who hail from California (Vice records- music video below) did an extended set, everyone went crazy for them with rolls of toilet paper streaming across the crowd! But for me Sons of Midas had already stolen the show!!!
Also turned out So So Modern drummer Daniel was actually DJing at Mighty Mighty that night. The painting of the horse and the sailor girl record sleeve says a lot about the genius of the place!
