Out of Babel

A fair few weeks back I worked through the night shooting a promo video for ‘Out of Babel’ by nomadic legends ‘The Destroyers’.

John Humphries directed, I assisted him with direction and was on camera duties using the widely discussed Red One Camera, shooting 120 FPS in low light conditions using available light proved tricky but somehow we pulled it off.

One of the most tiring but funnest shoots I’ve ever worked on! Been so eager to see John’s final edit and here it is!

The video works with a simple concept of a marching band traveling through the night to party until dawn, creatures of the night, the devils henchmen etc.. Anyways the slo-mo effect provides a great visual contrast with the fast mayhem and rhythm of the track.

To get an idea of what went into the making of the video take a look here!

The chaps are playing at this years Moseley Folk Festival as well as many other gigs all over the place.

Check their MySpace for more info.

This is a great Video Chris… once more - sterling work!
