Plastic People from Japan!
The Plastic People of The Universe Box set arrived today, all the way from Tokyo, Japan. It’s rare to find the Plastics collection on vinyl and when I saw this box set for sale I had to jump at what was probably a one off chance to get pretty much all the music they ever released. It also provides me with a great source of inspiration for the Plastic People project I’m currently working on.
This is really the next major mission, invlolving a trip to Prague to uncover what I can from the musical era before the ‘Velvet Revolution’ and to see how the Plastic People play a role in the lives of young Czech musicians today. Hoping to make photographic and audio work that reflects the history and importance of the band that changed the world!
