Sonar 2007!

Got back from the Sonar Festival in the early hours of this morning..... the flight back from Barcelona was delayed for hours due to a nightmare bunch of travellers on the flight prior to ours! Brits abroad… they were throwing things at the other passengers, smoking on the flight and being abusive to the flight staff! Complete fools! They’ll be blacklisted on most flights from now on and at this momment will be sitting in a Spanish jail somewhere! Anyway enough of them and onto the Sonar story....







Sonar Festival was pretty good this year, highlights included the Beastie Boys, Chris Clark (shown above with live drummer added into the insane mix) and my favourite act of the whole thing Cornelius!







Beastie Boys played a lot of their early punk tunes which was cool. I would have loved to see them live back in the day, smaller venue when the music was fresher with more energy. For me the gig didn’t quite hit the spot… big stadium gigs aren’t really my cup of tea though.. Got this shot of Mike D with his wig or real hair? Couldn’t figure that one out?







Cornelius shown above were amazing and suited the epic stadium environment of Sonar by night. Their visuals were so captivating and inspiring! Beautiful genius!!! A must see for everyone and anyone! Muchos Gracias!
