The City Sings!
Back in September a group of trumpet players and singers descended on Chamberlain Square in Birmingham for a Flash Mob choir event called The City Sings.
I worked with a small camera crew to document the City Sings event at Artsfest…
The project is part of a MAC (Midland Arts Centre) artist commission awarded to composer Helen Ottaway. The hope is to create an anthem that will continue to develop over the coming months, as the music is appropriated by all sorts of musicians and genres…
The final eclectic mix of city sounds will be performed at the launch of the newly regenerated MAC building in 2010!
