The hunt for the Polaroid 600SE!

In an attempt to stick to my New Years resolution of shooting more film, I’ve ended up going on a hunt for the legendary Polaroid 600SE camera. I tracked a few down in various corners of the world. Along the way I came across Polanoid.net, a site dedicated to all things Polaroid and keeping the medium alive. Then there’s Polanoir an online and physical gallery based in Vienna selling artists Polaroid’s as ltd prints and also unique originals. I’d never heard of this place before and find it really exciting that someone has had the passion for Polaroid to bring such a niche gallery together. Then the other great place I came across was the Analogue Photoshop, selling all things Polaroid from rare cameras to even rarer film stock! These were the first exciting finds fueling my search for Polaroid Nirvana! The next was the discovery of Polaroid Jesus on Flickr, this guy is the dude of the 600SE.. His photography absolutely rules! Seeing such great work has left me all the more inspired to get to work with one of these beasts myself… I can’t wait!
