Set within a hotel, audience arrive 2 x 2, check into their rooms and make themselves comfortable before a journey into the dark world of Black Tonic begins. Unraveling a truly original detective story as they travel along corridors and into bedrooms, piecing together clues that uncover what really makes the hotel tick!

The show starts tomorrow at the Place Hotel, Manchester and runs until 30th November! See below for more info…

Should be a fun night with some of the best Lithuanian hip hop acts in attendance, such as 3 times Lithuanian DMC champion DJ Mamania and the Baltic States acclaimed beatboxer Def One!

It’s now set to do a short tour of cinemas throughout England, including Birmingham’s Electric Cinema 24th November! I was stood right next to the 16mm film camera on a lot of the shots so looking forward to actually seeing the finished film!

The two lovely zombies above looked like they were extras from 28 Days Later!!! Love it when people get dressed up, they suddenly become exhibitionists and a lot more accommodating for the camera.

A cyclist performing on a drum kit which attaches perfectly to his upturned bike, basically a mobile drum kit. Rocking out beats in the middle of Kings Cross he both looked and sounded the bomb.

I didn’t have time to chat with him but after a bit of internet hunting I’ve tracked him down on Myspace!

‘SynthEastwood’ have been putting together some fantastic group shows over in Dublin for the past year. Bringing together graphic design, photography, sound and moving image, each of their shows revolves around a simple one word or one liner brief.

The current mission is Cycles and opens tonight in a variety of venues around Dublin, with a host of live performances, projections - VJ antics, plus audience participation in Cycle related activity that controls projections, gonna be goodtimes!

Back in September I was commissioned by Ikon Gallery to make a short documentary about Martin Creed and his current exhibition at the Ikon. Turner Prize winner Creed works in many different mediums and is quite a name in the art world, plus I like his work so it was a real treat to make the piece and cut it to various tunes by Creed’s band. The piece has just gone live on the Ikon site, so go take a look!

The show opened back on 4th September and runs until 19th October.

To celebrate this and the closing party of the Ikon Eastide Gallery on 31st October, artist Lucienne Cole has devised an evening of music, projections and performance that pays an affectionate homage to Warhol, ‘The Exploding Plastic Inevitable’ and The Velvet Underground and Nico, “the most influential and unpopular band in history”.

I’ve been working with Lucienne to re-create some of the original Warhol Screen Tests such as the promo image above with Lucienne as Nico and the Cadbury Dairy Milk bar as a replacement for a Hershey bar.

Curated by The Outcrowd Collective the show opens with party action 7pm - 12pm this coming Thursday 2nd October down at Rough Trade East Gallery, Dray Lane, Old Truman Brewery, 91 Brick Lane, London.

Featuring musical accompaniment from Birmingham kraut rockers ‘Einstellung’. Gonna be an amazing show with a never ending list of awesome illustrator and photographer peeps showing their finest works!
